Denay Woodruff is a speech-language pathologist and the owner of Rooted Speech and Myo. Her mission is to improve the quality of life for clients by treating speech sound and orofacial myofunctional disorders through individualized therapy that is both convenient and enjoyable.

Throughout her career, Denay has treated a wide range of clients with various communication disorders. It wasn't until she discovered the transformative techniques of orofacial myofunctional therapy that she began to see faster and longer-term progress in her clients. Specializing in this therapy allows her to address the root causes of dysfunction, improving communication, swallowing, oral function, and overall health.

Denay is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in the state of Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Westmont College and a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. With experience in private practice, public schools, and teletherapy, her areas of expertise include orofacial myofunctional disorders and speech sound disorders. Denay has completed extensive training in orofacial myofunctional disorders and continually advances her knowledge and skills to ensure the best possible care for clients with OMDs. Denay is a member of the DFW Airway Collaborative and the Airway Association of North Texas. 

Outside of work, Denay enjoys traveling to new destinations with her family, meeting friends for coffee and walks, playing board and card games, and spending time with her husband, son, and their Dalmatian.
